Sofitel So Mauritius has left nothing to chance at this five-star resort, including daily dining. Each of the three restaurants features the work of world-famous Japanese designer Kenzo Takada – a designer who beautifully blends multiple elements to create a harmonious ambience in any environment. It is all part of the So Gourmet experience. The resort's three restaurants choices are:
•Le Flamboyant – The resort's main restaurant offers four different breakfast options including traditional Continental and American options. For lunch and dinner, Le Flamboyant emphasises fresh seafood prepared in the manner of the Mediterranean region of France. Al fresco dining is available when the weather permits. As for the interior dining spaces, these are every bit as modern and elegant as the resort's rooms and suites.
•La Plage – This beachfront restaurant has been designed with a Zen-like minimalist feel. You will not be overwhelmed with ostentatious excess here, but you will bask in a laid-back environment that invites you to kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand between your toes. La Plage features fresh seafood prepared in an open kitchen along with light international fare. A kids menu is available.
•Emotional Tables – Sofitel So's Emotional Tables concept offers guests the opportunity to share a private table for two in various locations throughout the property. Guests can choose from among three different themes: So Indian, So Nature, and So Lagoon. Each theme offers a unique location, an inviting menu, and table décor to create a truly memorable experience.
•Takama Bar – The Takama Bar is the resort's cocktail lounge and main gathering area. Although full meals are not served here during the day, guests can enjoy a good selection of tapas based on locally sourced ingredients with an Asian-Indian flair.
