The Hotel
It is a pleasure to enter the Catalonia Albinoni and admire its Neoclassical beauty. The hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona, in the cultural and shopping centre, just a few steps from Plaza Catalunya and the Cathedral. The building has been added to the Artistic Heritage catalogue of the city. Pedro Bassegoda i Mateu built this small palace in 1876, and in 1998 it opened its doors as a hotel.
The hotel still preserves its original fa?ade which features Romantic and Baroque motifs. The entry hall, which would be large enough to allow the carriages to enter at the beginning of the century, leads to the interior courtyard which has been restored to its original style.
The hotel reception and bar are currently in the courtyard, from where guests admire the original marble staircase, typical of the finest houses of those times.
Breakfast buffet is served under a unique marquee at the hotel garden patio.
