Heritance Ahungalla

Located on Sri Lanka’s south-west coast, Heritance Ahungalla is a beautifully designed hotel that takes its style from a traditional rest-house, with internal courtyards filled with greenery and stylish, yet minimal, decoration. Designed by Geoffrey Bawa, Sri Lanka’s greatest architect, the hotel was created to blend with the natural environment, yet provides luxurious and elegant accommodation to guests.

Situated beside the Indian Ocean, Heritance Ahungalla promises excellent hospitality along with top-class services and facilities. Heritance Ahungalla provides 152 luxurious guest rooms, each with ocean views and private balconies. Décor is clean and elegant with monochrome colour schemes and polished wood floors while locally-woven materials add an exotic feel to the rooms. Bathrooms have stone floors and rain-shower cubicles, and all are supplied with custom-made toiletries. Heritance Ahungalla also has several guest suites, each with a separate and spacious living area, making these ideal for families.

All guest rooms are fully equipped with efficient air-conditioning, satellite TV, and a minibar. Tea and coffee making facilities are available, and free bottled water is supplied. Every room has wi-fi access and comes with a porter service, laundry service, and 24-hour room service. Luxury suites also come with a Jacuzzi, home theatre system, and piped music.

Heritance Ahungalla has several dining options, with fine restaurants and a coffee shop providing a range of delicious cuisine. The award-winning culinary team offers menus that incorporate indigenous spices and produce with recipes from all over the world, in a variety of elegant dining venues.

•Jute Restaurant – The hotel’s main restaurant serves buffet meals throughout the day, with an enormous variety of breakfast dishes and a global selection of lunchtime delicacies. Themed evening buffets provide tempting choices of local and international fare as well as beautifully presented desserts.

•Upper Room – This fine dining restaurant takes top-quality ingredients, and combines them with Eastern and Western cooking techniques to produce a sophisticated fusion menu that is guaranteed to provoke the taste buds. An international wine list accompanies the menu.

•Mustard Coffee Shop – Heritance Ahungalla’s attractive coffee shop provides snacks, drinks and an à la carte menu that offers light meals such as soups and salads as well as steak, seafood, and Chinese food.
